Laura Ingalls Wilder Trip: June 21, 2011 Summer Solstice. Cynthia, Kathy, and I flew to Minneapolis through Denver and landed among threats of tornadoes and torrential rains. Decided on a large car for our road trip to visit many of the sites Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote about in the eight books she wrote about her life. Visited with Cynthia’s delightful relatives (Aunt Aggie, her dad’s twin; Susan, Aggie’s daughter; and her husband, Jeff). Visited their three horses and fed them apples. Wonderfully fresh salad and berry crisp for dessert. Thunder and lightning all night.
